Snapchat stories like feature is coming to TikTok, it’s good?
Every social media is app including stories in their apps. Finally, they are coming to TikTok. Reportedly, TikTok is now testing the snap chat stories (24 hours duration) feature and Matt Navarra spotted it. This is no rumor because TikTok spokesperson confirms this to “The Verge” in an email.
The additional feature, a popular short video sharing app is testing named “TikTok Stories.” TikTok stories will work identically with other apps like Instagram and Snapchat stories. In the TikTok app, we will see stories, for 24 hours before TikTok deletes them, in the newly added slide over the sidebar. If you upload a story, then your followers can see, react, and comment on your story. Like Snapchat and Facebook, you will see a person’s story by tapping on their profile picture. TikTok is entirely a video-sharing platform so new TikTok stories are also going to be only videos.
“We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience. Currently, we’re experimenting with ways to give creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community.”
-TikTok spokesperson to The Verge.
TikTok didn’t release any details about when will Stories feature be available for all users.
Stories are becoming the new trend in social media because they are a wonderful source of interacting with people. Snapchat was the first social media app launch stories feature in 2013. Until now, every major social media app has launched stories and also using them for business purposes like advertising.
Where all the social platforms are using Stories, it didn’t go well for Twitter. Twitter launched stories like feature “Fleets” and closed Fleets earlier this week because the feature didn’t attract users as much as Twitter expected. Let’s see how it goes for TikTok.
