Netflix is stepping into Android gaming because a popular entertainment app allows Poland users to play two Stranger Things games, for the first time. Netflix announced on Thursday.

“Starting today, members in Poland can try Netflix mobile gaming on Android with two games — Stranger Things 1984 and Stranger Things 3 — all as part of their membership. It’s still very, very early days and we will be working hard to deliver the best possible experience in the months ahead with our no ads, no in-app purchases approach gaming.”

A tweet from the Polish Netflix team can help you understand how it works. You will see available games in the home feed and when you click to play, the app will redirect you to the Google Play Store to download the game. You can also directly download the game from Google Play Store and users can only launch them from inside the Netflix app.

After you have successfully downloaded the game, after opening it, the game will ask you to log into your Netflix account. Netflix spokes said during the conversation with The Verge. It means that you have completely downloaded the game, and it is not like a cloud game like Facebook offers.

Netflix started efforts to step into the gaming industry in July. The company hired a former EA and Oculus exec to lead the Netflix gaming and its initial focus is mobile gaming.

It is unclear that when more games are available or users outside Poland can play.
