In the latest iOS 15 beta 6 (developer) Apple has updated Safari’s design and allowed users to put address bar either on the top or the bottom of the screen. After Safari’s redesign, Apple had to face many controversies. But, now Apple is moving back to the old design and the design which the users are used to.
Podcaster Federico Viticci posted the screenshots of a new design in which you can move the address bar. The screenshots showed off that change; if the user has an address bar at the bottom, then the address bar sits above the controls. The row of controls includes back, forward, tabs, and share buttons. In the previous version, the iOS 15 beta had these control buttons were with the address bar.
Apple has been changing the design of Safari since its iOS 15 first beta, but the changes are small and mostly design-oriented. But the users have not welcomed these design updates, they want the traditional design which they are used to.
The options to change the position of address helps users to tackle the lack of choice. Both users who prefer the address bar at the top and the ones who prefer the address bar at the bottom should be pleased now. The Verge said this option of choosing where the address bar resides can make things tough for the web designers because they have to keep in mind both possibilities of address bar position. Overall, it’s nice of users though.
Viticci said the iPad version didn’t get the current safari update.
