The new focus mode in Zoom can save students from distraction. They can’t see each other.
Zoom launched a new focus mode for students to save them from distraction when they are in virtual classrooms. Teachers (any meeting host) will be able to keep an eye but students cannot see other students. After focus mode is enabled, participants cannot see any other participant webcam or screen share. The host can turn focus mode on and off and it’s free for all.
After being turned on, focus mode will put the host’s video or screen share in the front-center of all participants’ screens. Participants will also be able to see their video and names of other participants and spotlighted video of any other participant by the host.
This is an outstanding feature in Zoom and will help hosts to organize peaceful and attentive meetings. It will also help non-teacher hosts to make participants pay attention to shared content.
Zoom is making Zoom better day by day. In the past month, Zoom acquired and company working on AI-based real-time translations. According to Zoom, they are making this integration to make conferencing easier for people who speak different languages. That’s why Zoom is adding this real-time translation feature so that user doesn’t have to wait for the translation. User speak, AI translate in no time, and that’s it.
