Android had this for Years,

According to a report from Bloomberg, new iPhones in 2021 may have an Always-on Display like the Apple watches. Android devices have had this feature for some past years.

In the report, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg mentioned that the new 2021 iPhones have improved battery, a relatively small notch on the top, an A15 Bionic chip, and 120Hz refresh rate panels.

Here, you should note that it is not the first time when an Apple leak suggests that Apple is working on Always-on Displays. In his report earlier this year, Max Weinbach said that Apple might use low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) panels for new iPhones. Apple is currently using LTPO in watches. LTPO technology helps to save battery life by adjusting the screen refresh rate according to requirements. Bloomberg said that one of the four new iPhones would have LTPO.

Earlier this year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the pro variants of new iPhones, releasing later this year, would have LTPO and 120Hz refresh rate capable displays.

Mark Gurman further said that Apple might announce new MacBooks later this year (between September and November). According to him, the new MacBook’s production will start in the 3rd quarter of 2020.
